STEETON'S resurgence in Division A came to a halt at Collingham as they lost by 57 runs.

After the hosts won the toss, their top four batsmen were all removed by James Emmott, who finished with excellent figures of 4-49. Skipper Steve Pearson weighed in with 3-50 as Collingham closed on 187-8 wickets in 50 overs, Toby Jacklin top-scoring with 38.

Steeton’s reply began poorly with the top four batsmen back in the tent with only 35 on the board in the 16th over.

Top-scorer Tom Stead (35) steadied the innings with an fine 54-run fifth-wicket partnership with Craig Walton (27) but Steeton succumbed after 39.2 overs to 130 all out.

Ed Broadley snatched victory from the jaws of defeat for Olicanian at Silsden. Chasing the visitors' 141, in which Chris Wheeler scored a half-century and Shaun Brentall took 3-26, Silsden’s last pair of Tom Greenwood (29) and Manley Du Preez (34no in 28 balls) put on 52 to get within two runs of victory, only for sharp fielding by Broadley to run out Greenwood as he scampered for the winning runs. Scott Sanderson (3-51) and Harry Smallwood (3-23) were Olicanian's main wicket-takers.

Second teams

In damp conditions, Chris Luxton (36) and Jack Pearson (23) got Steeton off to a good start at home to Adel in Division One, putting on 52 for the second wicket.

Their progress slowed to 77-4 at the halfway mark and by the close they had reached 153 all out.

With one eye on the worsening weather, Adel began their pursuit with gusto.

They had reached 120-4 when the match was abandoned due to rain, Callum Lowe taking all four wickets in an impressive performance to end with excellent figures of 4-39.

Colton visited struggling Harden in Division Two and were invited to bat in a high-scoring game which saw them reach 268-6 as Connor Brown made 110 no.

The hosts were up to the challenge as James Roper led the reply with 138, Martin Falkingham (36) and Hasnehn Haider (59) providing good support in a six-wicket win.

In the Division Three bottom of the table clash, Addingham hosted Silsden and made 157-8, Alan Moffat (30) and Matthew Hastings (47no) being the pick of their batters while Nick Firth returned 3-49.

Silsden fell short in reply as Alex Merritt claimed 5-48 to help bowl them out for 108, only veteran Andy Pullan (55) showing much with the bat.
