KEIGHLEY Cougars have this morning discovered the run-in that awaits them in the forthcoming League One Super Eights.

A sixth-place finish in the regular season for Paul March and his side means the Cougars will have three home fixtures, with a further four to be played on the road.

The Cougars have been handed the toughest of starts to the Super Eights with a trip to France to face leaders Toulouse Olympique at the Stade Ernest Argeles, with the side looking to avenge June's 84-6 defeat across the channel.

The other three away games will see the side head to Rochdale on August 7, Doncaster on August 21 and finally Barrow on September 4.

The three fixtures at Cougar Park will see Hunslet visit on July 31 in the West Yorkshire Derby with London Skolars then coming to town on August 14.

York City Knights will then visit CP for the second time this season on September 11 in the final round of the phase.

The Super Eights will see the sides who finished the regular season in the top eight play each other once more with the top five qualifying for the end of the season play-offs.

The side who finishes first will host the team who comes second in the Championship game, a game in which the winner is promoted as champions while the loser enters the play-offs with the clubs who finish third, fourth and fifth.

Week two will see first/second host fifth, with fourth travelling to third.

The two winners will then meet in the play-off final, at a venue still to be confirmed by the RFL – a game in which the winner will take the remaining promotion spot to the Championship.
