JOSH Tetley top-scored with 77 as he steered Division One leaders Oxenhope to a total that proved just beyond Southowram in the Spenser Wilson Halifax League.

Jim Bailey (43), Jack Barker (34), Nathan Storton (25) and Grahame Ellis (21) backed up opener Tetley as the hosts were all out for 232, Tariq Mahmood being the pick of the bowling with 3-39.

Southowram made a decent start in reply, with double-figure scores coming from all their top six batsmen.

Middle-order duo Scott Griffiths (56) and Daniel Pummell (55) guided the visitors close to their victory target but they were slowed by some excellent death bowling and eventually finished on 226-9.

Liam Dyson was once again the pick of the Oxenhope attack, backed up by Tetley (3-35), as he bowled straight through to finish with 4-101 from 23 overs in the six-run victory.
