DIVISION Three leaders Cononley were in impressive form as they saw off Embsay II by seven wickets in the Craven League.

The hosts were restricted to 106, with under-14s player Max Walker making 36 as Anthony Haigh took 4-14 and Joel Grainger 3-17. Skipper Andrew Starkey (54no) then led his side to a comfortable victory.

Sandy Lane are second, a point behind Cononley, after visiting Gargrave and winning by 26 runs in a low-scoring game.

Shabaz Ahmed (32) helped the Greenwood Park side to 136. The Skipton Road men then perished for 110 as Farhan Khalid took 4-29.

Long Lee's hopes of a return to Division Two took another dive as the one-time leaders lost by 14 runs in a high-scoring contest at home to Bradford & Bingley III.

The Wagon Lane outfit blasted 251-8, with Andy Dobson (83no) Adam Swallow (76) and Will Johnson (47) doing the bulk of the scoring. In reply, Stephen Butterfield made a superb 104 which helped the Golden View side to 237 as Adam Butt took 4-63.

Ryan Jennings (71no) saw Bingley Congs II to 204-9 at home to Riddlesden, who could only muster 126 in response. This was after being 72-1 thanks to Mohammed Qadeer (45) as Steve Carass finished with 4-25.

Martin Seward made 98 not out, Sean Williamson 49 and Ian Henderson 47 to steer Skipton CI to 256-6 at Sandylands. Ten-man visitors Denholme were then shot out for 48.

In Division 4A, second-placed Foulridge II received three points when Airedale II conceded due to a lack of players. This allowed them to leapfrog Sandy Lane, who lost by eight wickets to third-placed Barrowford II.

Sutton proved too strong for bottom side Glusburn II, winning by seven wickets. Alan Coney made 45 of the Park Field side's 105-8, before Simon Todd (61no) led his Royd Hill men home.

Chatburn II recovered from 36-4 to finish on 176-7 and take the points at Haworth II by three wickets. The Bronte side had earlier posted 174, with Dale Walsh making 72.

Dale Wood's 6-17 saw Oakworth III back in the hut for 60 at Westfield Lane. Hepworth & Idle II then took just 9.3 overs to reach their target for the loss of four wickets.

Division 4B leaders Skipton CI II had an open date, which allowed second-placed Cowling II to close to within two points after a crushing win at home to Bradley II.

John Cleaver (46) helped the Coliseum side to 203-9 as Josh Nkwo finished with 7-42. The visitors crashed to 48 all out in reply.

Rock-bottom Bingley Congs III failed to win again, losing by four wickets at home to Ingrow II. Ben Nattrass (47) and Nathan Allot (4-35) were the main contributors for the Beckfoot side.
