SANDY Lane II have made it a double celebration for the Greenwood Park club as they won Division 4A to go with the first team's promotion from Division Three.

However, the second string had only eight men in their defeat of visitors Gargrave II.

Lane, set on their way by opener Muhammed Imran Khan (68), made 152, but Gargrave were 45-7 before Tony Spensley (73) helped them to 120, Raj Farooq finishing with 7-12.

Also promoted were Barrowford II, making it a double celebration for them as well, after Ingrow II conceded their game.

Oakworth III, dismissed for 45 against Haworth II, and Glusburn II were relegated.

Division 4B leaders Cowling II were at home to second-placed Skipton CI II but lost by seven wickets to hand the Sandylanders the title.

The Coliseum side made 127, with Amjid Shafait top-scoring with 45, CI replying with 128-3, but Cowling could still be content with promotion.

Cononley II conceded to Bradley II, while basement boys Bingley Congs III thought they had notched their second win in as many weekends, only to have their 20-run defeat reversed for fielding an ineligible player.

Sutton II beat Long Lee II by 105 runs, the highlights being108 by Carl Jopson (14 fours, three sixes) and 93 not out by Paul Williams (11 fours, one six) for the winners in a partnership of 214 for the second wicket.

Steve Tempest (50) carried his bat for nine-man Long Lee, who were dismissed for 134.

In Division One, Jim O'Hara grabbed a hat-trick in his 3-9 as champions Crossflatts won by three wickets at Foulridge.

Alex Bradbury took 3-11 in Foulridge's 102 but Crossflatts were 5-3 before Qamar Ayub (30) and Austin Smith (23no) helped them to the spoils.

Gary Binns blasted 103 as Haworth made 185-3 in only 21 overs, which took them to a seven-wicket win over Ingrow St John’s at Street Lane. Earlier, Saints had posted 184, with Nadeem Safdar hitting a superb 113.
