West Riding Women's County League Division Two: Silsden Ladies Development 1 Farsley Celtic Ladies Development 7
SILSDEN put on a brave performance and were still in the game at half-time before the visitors ran away with it in the second half.
Without a regular keeper, they had to rely on volunteers for the role with Charlotte Mitchell doing the job in the first half and Lauren Murgatroyd after the break.
The hosts soaked up tremendous early pressure before two quick goals from Farsley. Silsden tightened up and at 2-0 down they were still in with a chance to bounce back in the second period.
Striker Natasha Mulligan and midfielder Megan Robson-Owens came close after the break but Farsley were hungry for goals and went 6-0 up.
Silsden replied with a superb run down the wing from their player of the match Kourtnai Broughton, who then drove home past the outstretched keeper.
But Farsley had the last word with a seventh, though Silsden could hold their heads up for a battling display.
* Silsden Ladies first team lost 2-1 at home to Hepworth in the Premier Division
