THREE of the world's top ten darts players are appearing in Keighley in December.

Former world champion Adrian 'Jackpot' Lewis, Dave 'Chizzy' Chisnall and Michael 'Bully Boy' Smith are taking part in the A1 Stairlifts Keighley Darts Masters at Victoria Hall on Tuesday, December 1.

They will play each other over the best of seven legs, as well as taking on amateurs over the best of three legs, plus additional matches over the best of five legs.

Stoke-based Lewis was world champion in 2011 and 2012, his winning streak ending at 15 matches in the 2013 quarter-final to Michael van Gerwen in what has been described as one of the sport's greatest matches.

The 31-year-old was also involved in the highest average for a darts match, averaging 110.99 to Phil Taylor's 104.76 in a 16-9 Grand Slam of Darts semi-final defeat, which included a record-breaking 32 180s.

Chisnall, 36, was runner-up in the 2010 British Darts Organisation (BDO) World Championship, and shocked the darting firmament by defeating Taylor in the 2012 World Championships.

He has also been runner-up in the World Grand Prix, the Grand Slam of Darts and the Masters and, like Lewis, has played in the Premier League.

Smith, 26 and also from St Helens, has won six Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) titles, reached the quarter-finals of this year's World Championship and the semi-finals of the 2015 Grand Slam of Darts and the quarter-finals of the 2016 Masters.

Special guest on the night at Victoria Hall is former world champion Keith Deller.

Tickets for the MJK Sports Events promotion that will mimic darts on the big stage are £50 (VIP), £30 (tables seating eight) and £20 (tiered seats), and they can be booked by ringing 07414-960956.

Doors for VIP seats open at 6pm, and for table and tiered seats at 7pm, with the main event starting at 7.30pm.
