West Riding County Cup quarter-final: Brighouse Town 2 Ossett Town 0

TOM Dugdale's quickfire first-half brace steered Brighouse Town into the semi-finals as they eased past neighbours Ossett Town last night, with Paul Quinn’s side making the most of home advantage against their Evo-Stik Division One North league counterparts.

Dugdale broke the deadlock in the 39th minute when he latched onto a through ball from Kurt Harris, and he fired home again following a corner just three minutes later.

The visitors tried to step up their performance after the break but Brighouse never looked under pressure as they cruised into the last four.

The other three quarter-finals will be played tonight, with Vanarama National League Guiseley, Vanarama National North Bradford Park Avenue, Brighouse’s league rivals Farsley Celtic and Hallmark Security League side Silsden all battling to go through.
