FIELD suffered a shock 4-1 defeat by lowly-placed Robin Hood Athletic in the West Yorkshire League Premier Division.
Athletic took the lead in the first minute but Field, who had a lot of possession, fought back without creating any clear-cut chances.
However, they eventually equalised when Aidan Day went on a jinking run and scored with a shot from outside the area to leave the scores level at half-time.
In the second period, and against the run of play, Robin Hood restored their advantage, and increased their lead.
Field then decided to use only three players in defence in an effort to get back into the match, but Athletic sealed the three points with a fourth goal.
The matches between the Wanderers of Wyke and Whitkirk (Division One), Baildon Trinity Athletic and Nostell Miners' Welfare (Division Two), Pool Reserves and Wyke Wanderers Reserves (Alliance Division One) and the League Trophy clash between Field Reserves and Oxenhope Recreation Reserves were all postponed due to waterlogged pitches.
