CROSS Hills were unable to boost their survival hopes in a 4-1 Craven League Premier Division defeat at Grassington United.

With relegation rivals' FC Sporting Keighley and Earby Town's clash a victim of the wet weather - one of several postponements on the day - Hills were aiming to steal a march on them at their mid-table hosts.

But two goals from man of the match Jan Ozdoba and one each from Tarek Issa and Ben Schindler earned victory for Grassington. Josh Page replied for the south Craveners, with Sam Birks impressing.

Wilsden remain nine points clear of second-from-bottom Cross Hills despite losing 3-2 at Pendle Renegades, who moved within two points of leaders Rolls.

Damon Whelan bagged a double and man of the match Nathan Taylforth registered for the Victory Park side, while James Halliday and Joel Hardy replied for Athletic.

Division One leaders Cowling had to settle for a point at fellow promotion contenders Rolls Reserves, with Luke Barker and Jacob Hough notching, while Skipton Town suffered a 3-0 setback at rivals Chatburn.

Bradley may be the second lowest scorers in the table but they enjoyed a 4-4 draw at Carleton as Sam Baldwin, David Hunt, Joe Stapleton and Miles Thompson found the target.

Josh Banks, Rob Bradley, man of the match Stuart Gee and Liam Steadman replied for the hosts.

Barnoldswick Barons boosted their safety hopes with a 3-2 win at relegation rivals Skipton Town Reserves. Goals from Paul Clifton and man of the match Shane Dwyer were not enough for the hosts as James Oliver starred for Barons.

In the Division Two Cup, Trawden Celtic Reserves progressed on penalties (3-0) after a 4-4 thriller at home to AFC Barnoldswick.

Peter Mogford, Gary Storey, Richard Scott and Aiden Warhurst netted in vain for the hosts.

Broomhill Reserves went above Sutton after winning their Division Three mid-table clash at home 2-0.

Aaron Dickson scored both goals for the Keighley side, while Conrad Waggett was crowned the visitors' man of the match.

Third-placed Barlick Wanderers' game with fourth-placed Bingley Juniors Reserves looked a close one on paper but the west Craven side ran out emphatic 11-0 winners.

Daniel Holden (4) led the goal feast and Tom Duerden bagged a hat-trick, while Connor Butler, Daniel Driver, man of the match Sam Walsh and Danny Ellis also found the target.

Lowly Earby Town Reserves were no match at home to leaders Ilkley, who triumphed 9-0.
