They moved within four points of leaders Golcar United with a 5-4 home win over their rivals at Beck Lane on Saturday.

Littletown striker Joe Jagger took his tally of first-team goals this season to 53 when he netted his 13th hat-trick (he has also bagged one double hat-trick).

Assisting him on the goal front were Adam Jordan and Blake Maude, with Mat Bryan, Alex Hallam, Ben Burnett and Jordan Tindle replying.

Steeton also helped Littletown’s championship bid by beating last season’s champions Huddersfield YMCA 2-1.

First-half strikes from Andy Briggs and Tim Hird put the Keighley side in command before Connor Tuff claimed a consolation for the visitors.

Salts gave a below-par performance at Honley, slipping to a 2-0 defeat, with Mat Lorriman and Dylan Brett scoring for the home team in the first half.

Lower Hopton extended their run of consecutive league wins to seven with a 2-1 success at Campion, with Nathan James and Mat Bugg, scoring for the Mirfield side while Josh Ludford replied.

Route One Rovers strengthened their bid for promotion via second-half goals from Hassan Ali and Danyal Yasin in a 2-0 home victory against Division One pacesetters Britannia Sports.

Rovers' win moved them into second a point ahead of Holmfirth Town, whose fixture at Myra Shay against West Horton was postpobed on Saturday morning due to the unfit ground.

Wibsey stepped up to fourth with goals from Michael Nicholson, Jack Murphy, Dave Halley, Daniel O’Donnell and Damian Melvin in a 5-0 home win over Golcar United Reserves.

Thornton United also stepped their promotion bid with a 4-2 win at home to Steeton Reserves, with Lewis Forsythe (2), Elliott Holmes and Jordan Kellett netting for United.

Hunsworth snatched a point in a 1-1 draw at home to fellow strugglers Westbrook YMCA, whose goalkeeper Tom Hodgkin turned a last-minute shot into his goal after Ian Craig had edged YMCA ahead.

Tyersal were well beaten in a 13-goal thriller at Arkwright Street, with visitors Wakefield City returning home with a 9-4 victory.

Rob Bloomfield (4), Jermain Moyce (2), Dami Omilabu, Nathan Hebblethwaite and Joe Penn were Wakefield's marksmen, while Joe Broadhead (2), Dave Henderson and Luke Dyson netted for Tyersal.
