The RFL have issued bans to six players following the violence that marred Keighley Cougars’ Ladbrokes Challenge Cup win over Fryston.
Steve Scott of Fryston has received the heaviest punishment, He is suspended until June 30.
His team-mates Sean Gee, banned until May 2, and Andy Speake, four matches, all had their cases considered by an indepedent disciplinary panel, who also handed a one-match ban and £75 fine for Keighley’s Davey Dixon, Four more Fryston players – Ben Strong, Craig Jones, Jack Lee and Adam Rothwell – submitted early guilty pleas.
Strong receivied two games and Jones and Lee one each, while Rothwell received no ban.
Emmerson Whittel’s case was adjourned due to him not being medically fit to attend Tuesday night’s hearing.
The punishments:
Adam Rothwell (Fryston) – No ban, Grade A punching.
Davey Dixon (Keighley) – One-match ban, Grade A punching.
Andy Speake (Fryston) –- Four-match ban, Grade D running in and punching.
Sean Gee (Fryston) – Banned until May 2, Grade F running in and punching.
Ben Strong (Fryston) – Two-match ban, Grade C running in and punching.
Steve Scott (Fryston) – Banned until June 30, Grade F running in and punching. Grade F kicking.
Craig Jones (Fryston) – One-match ban, Grade B running in and punching Jack Lee (Fryston) – One match ban, Grade B Entering field without permission.
