Wharfedale Triangle League Cup semi-final: Crossflatts 0 Keighley Town 1

KEIGHLEY Town gained revenge on their opponents, having recently been beaten by Crossflatts in the semi-final of the Keighley & District FA Sunday Cup.

A goal from Andy Feather after 72 minutes was enough to win a tight encounter and set up a place in the final against surprise package Armley Rangers.

Flatts, whose treble hopes were quashed, missed chances in the first half but Town played better in second half and seemed to want it more.

Armley, who are second in Division One, won their tie 6-4 against Yeadon Veterans, who are second in the top flight.

Premier Division: Shipley Town 1 Cullingworth Youth 0

Youth's final league game of the campaign mirrored their first season in the top flight.

They produced an excellent performance but had nothing to show for it.

Without their regular keeper, Cullingworth also had two penalty appeals turned down, one of them being a particularly good shout.

They also conceded a soft goal, which came in the 15th minute of an end-to-end nature first half. Shipley’s keeper made two brilliant saves to deny Youth.

The second half saw the same pattern of play, with Youth creating more great chances and having a flurry of corners which they could not benefit from.

Shipley’s keeper was their man of the match, while Andy Waper was star man for Youth, who missed Kyle Fox in defence as he had to play as stand-in keeper - a position in which he did not let his team down.
