OXENHOPE missed the chance to close in on the Halifax League Premier Division leaders after losing at bottom club Queensbury.
The hosts must have been motivated by the recent announcement that only one team will be relegated from the division this season, as they collected 12 points with a 22-run win.
Good batting performances, in particular from Tom Watson (72no) and Mohammed Altaf (69), saw them reach 236-8 as Joel Fothergill (4-56) took top billing for Oxenhope.
In reply, Josh Tetley top-scored for the visitors with 53 and Josh Fleetwood weighed in with 40 but Amjad Ali's 5-22 proved decisive for Queensbury.
It was also a bad day for Cullingworth in Division One. They were beaten by seven wickets at Bridgeholme after being bowled out for 159 despite an opening partnership of 84 between Jon Terry (39) and Ben Burkill (42).
