CROSSFLATTS Primary School's successful year six boys football team have enjoyed the perfect swansong before they depart.
The under-11s, who move on to upper school in September, were crowned gold medallists at the West Yorkshire School Games summer festival.
Their triumph came after winning a thrilling final against Kirkburton Middle School from Kirklees at Beckett Park Campus, Leeds.
It was the icing on the cake for the reigning Bradford Primary Schools’ champions, who have spent four fruitful years together and won various other schools competitions in Keighley, Bingley and Saltaire.
In the West Yorkshire School Games, which featured 1,200 participants overall, Crossflatts earned Bradford one of five golds won at the festival – the joint highest total.
The city's other golds medals came in cheerleading (Appleton and Tong), tag rugby (Baildon) and gymnastics (Sandal).
