STEETON were beaten at home by relegation-threatened Addingham, who eased 24 points clear of the bottom two in the second tier of the Aire-Wharfe League with a four-wicket victory.

A late flourish from James Emmott (35no) helped the hosts reach 205 all out off the last ball as he combined with Jake Starkey (20) to put on 53 in six overs for the eighth wicket.

That was after Steeton were struggling on 140-7 after John Akrigg top-scored with 39 and Andrew Foulds made 32.

Joe Stead had Addingham in trouble at 24-3 on his way to figures of 4-58 but the visitors' middle order came good as

Ted Haggas (72) saw them claim the points.

Harden's promotion hopes nose-dived in Division Three as they were well beaten at a revitalised New Rover, who set a total of 239 all out to chase.

Andy Bailey weighed in with 4-62 before opener Tom Cummins hit 58 for the visitors but found little support against the bowling of Junaid Jamshed (7-17) and Harden collapsed to 110.

Steeton II remain in trouble in Division One of the second-team competition as they were beaten by seven wickets at Pool II.

Adil Modak (58), Freddie Pearson (45) and Bradley Akrigg (45) were their main contributors as they reached 201-6 before Pool cruised to their target.

Tom Stordy's 50 proved in vain for Harden II as they could only make 130 in reply to visitors New Rover II's 216-9.
