JOSH Tonks makes a welcome return into Cougars' 19 man squad for Sunday's trip to Whitehaven.

It is set to be his first appearance since July’s defeat to Haven after serving a five-match suspension for his dismissal in June’s defeat to the York City Knights.

Brad Nicholson (quad) also returns to the side after missing victories over Doncaster and York as well as last Sunday’s home draw with Toronto.

Andy Gabriel (leg) is expected to be fit after suffering a freak injury at work in the lead-up to the Wolfpack game.

Scott Law is ruled out after sustaining a leg injury against Toronto while Sean Kelly (paternity leave) is still unavailable for selection.

Josh Lynam is made unavailable for selection once more by coach Craig Lingard due to an internal disciplinary matter.

Meanwhile, winger Davey Dixon and utility forward Matthew Bailey have signed contract extensions.

Dixon, who has been named in the Scotland squad for the World Cup in Australia, has penned a deal until the end of 2019, while Bailey is contracted to Keighley until the conclusion of next season.
