KEIGHLEY Athletic closed the gap on rivals Keighley Town to just one point at the top of the Wharfedale Triangle Premier Division after leaders Town squandered a three-goal advantage at home to Ilkley Dynamo.

Athletic beat Burton Leonard 6-3 on a muddy Marley pitch as Luke Snowden bagged a cracker, with Danny Driver (2), Liam McNicol and Callum Wear also among the scorers.

That leaves them breathing down Town's neck with two games in hand after the table-toppers had to settle for a 3-3 draw with Dynamo.

Goals from Ryan Stubbs, Leon Smith and Leroy Hickman put them in control at half-time.

But the visitors fought back to earn a share of the spoils as Struan Connor (2) and Henry Barrow found the target.

Cullingworth Youth, who had no match last week, return to action on Sunday when they host Burton Leonard in the Harry Nicholson Trophy.

Keighley Town welcome Keighley Crusaders in the same competition, while Keighley Athletic will go top of the table if they win their home league game with Shipley Town.
