T&A Sports Reporter Nathan Atkinson spoke to Wilsden rider Annie Simpson at the finish of the second Women's Tour de Yorkshire stage in Ilkley about how she found the challenging 128km course.
She talked about using her local knowledge and experience as a nutritionist to help the team to achieve its maximum potential over the two-day competition.
Simpson echoed the sentiments expressed by Lizzie Deignan earlier this week, and feels that there is no reason why the women cannot compete in a four-day Tour de Yorkshire like the men.
Finally, she discussed what lies ahead for her in a busy 2018 season.
