CROSSFLATTS were denied at home to Embsay, losing a thrilling clash by just one run in Division One of the Mewies Craven Cricket League.

The visitors batted first and were struggling on 60-7, with Jodi Town-Jones (4-31) and Alex Bradbury (3-26) among the wickets. The lower order fought back strongly though and closed on 162.

Dom Bennett (49) set up an exciting finish for the hosts, and off the final ball, they needed two to win with one wicket remaining. Robert Drummond was clean bowled though, as his side suffered an agonising defeat.

Leaders Bingley Congs struggled against Ingrow, but still managed a 26-run victory. Harry Greenhalgh (33) and Matt Brian (15) forged an extraordinary 10th-wicket partnership of 52, which helped them to 131.

Dan Scott (6-41) took the bowling honours for Ingrow, but they could only reply with 105. Greenhalgh finished with 4-31, including a hat-trick, and Neil Copping took 3-35.

Oakworth are second after winning at Sutton. Sam Solley (61) helped the hosts to 188-5 but Drew Duffy scored 58 opening the batting for Oakworth, and with Ben Howell’s 45, they cruised home by five wickets.

Matt Wear (32) top scored for Denholme, who made 101 at Haworth. Jamie Rowell (3-18) and Will Yildiz (3-46) were the hosts' main bowlers, who were 26-3 in reply before Dan Trowers (44no) helped them to a seven-wicket win.

Haworth Road totalled 195-2 declared against Wilsden with Deepal Dissanayake scoring a super 100no. The visitors had replied with 121-7 when the cut off time arrived and they both had to settle for a point apiece.

Foulridge are Division Two leaders after a 114-run victory at Cononley. They plundered 255-5 declared, with Aamir Mohammed (59) Mohammad Abu Bakker (58) and Mohammad Yaqoob (55no) being the main contributors.

Cameron Knowles scored 66 in Cononley's 141-9, as Muhammad Atique claimed 3-12.

Airedale are second after a 93-run victory at Glusburn. They hit 240-6, with Mohammed Qadeer Hanif blasting a stunning 135no. The hosts only managed 147-7 in reply, led by Neil Freeman (74no), as Lee Rickaby took 3-25.

Chatburn made 194-7 at home to Eldwick & Gilstead, with Mark Nerenberg making 52no. The visitors took the spoils by three wickets though, with Jacob Roach (90) leading the way.

Cowling’s Jalal Khan took an incredible 8-29, including a hat-trick, to dismiss visitors Long Lee for 64. The hosts had earlier made 156, with Mohammed Shah Usman (48) top scoring, as Steve Butterfield (6-46) and Ian Roberts (4-19) shared the wickets.

Finally, Sandy Lane were dismissed for 110-8 at Bradford & Bingley III. The home side coasted to a nine-wicket win thanks to Phil Broadley (46) and Will Johnson (43no).
