DIVISION One leaders Bingley Congs have suffered their first defeat of the season in the Mewies Solicitors Craven League.

The Beckfoot Lane side posted 176 at Haworth Road Meths, with Danny Pearson (43) and Andy Copping (39) being the best batters as former Ingrow St John's star Deepal Dissanayake finished with 4-60.

The latter then scored 49 to go with Muhammad Zahid (46) as the Baildon Bottom side strode to a five-wicket victory.

Second-placed Barrowford rattled up 334-7, with Aziz Iqbal making 149 (33 fours, one six) and Freddie Bailey (69no) leading the way, with 37 extras also helping the cause.

Will Rankin finished with 4-74 before visitors Ingrow replied with a creditable 223, with Jake Hoyle (53), Ben Weatherall (45 and Rankin (44) being in the runs as Karim Khan (3-24) was the best bowler.

Oakworth are third, despite their six-wicket defeat by Denholme at Cure Hill.

Rob Hollingsworth (44) and Ben Howell (29) were the leading scorers as Matt Wear (4-37), Toby Priestley (3-11) and Ryan Judson (3-37) shared the wickets.

The visitors then stormed home, led by Ronnie Chokununga, whose 67 not out contained seven fours and four sixes, and Isaac Murray (36).

Haworth's trip to Ryshworth Park was very fruitless.

The gave a lacklustre batting performance to be castled for just 93 as Alex Bradley (4-12) and Wasim Hussain (3-16) got among the wickets.

Crossflatts cantered home by six wickets, with Ben Hinchcliffe making 41 not out.

Dave Snowden took advantage of several lives to score 75 not out as Sutton amassed 183-9 at home to Embsay.

Sam Solley also made 30 as Caspar Bean took 4-37.

Moshin Saghir (50 and Elliot Stockton (39) were the main contributors as the Shires Lane side won by five wickets.

The battle of the bottom two, Hepworth & Idle and Wilsden, went the way of the latter by 39 runs.

The Windy Grove side made 242-7, with Chris Longley (103) and Dipesh Mistry (56no) putting on 90 for the sixth wicket.

The Westfield Lane side replied with 206.

In Division Two, Cononley were in sparkling form when they entertained Haworth Road Meths II.

The South Craven side smashed 371-2, with Herbie Starkey scoring a formidable 185 not out and Cameron Knowles a superb 103 not out to go with skipper Andrew Starkey's 53.

The two centurions put on 205 for the third wicket, and the Baildon Bottom side replied with what would usually be a winning score (284-8) – but not this time.

Ian Robson (77), Waj Mahmood (72) and Charlie Hainsworth (47) were the main scorers.

Leaders Airedale were up the hill at Long Lee and found the hosts in fine fettle as they rattled up 307-9, with Shahbaz Ahmed (86), Matty Stowell (71) and Paul Stowell (64) to the fore as Chris Gill took 3-68.

The Bradford Road side made 202 in reply thanks to Simon Hunter (57) and Mohammed Qadeer Hanif (44) as Ian Roberts (3-29) was the best bowler.

Cowling took advantage of the leaders' slip up to take over at the top after a four-wicket victory over Eldwick & Gilstead at The Coliseum.

The visitors were restricted to 124 of which Mark Roach made 37 as Will Bowden claimed 4-27.

The latter then made 38 not out to go with Mark Adams (40) to get the hosts over the line.

Foulridge stay third, despite falling by seven wickets to Sandy Lane at Noyna.

The home side could only muster 105 as Hamid Ullah finished with 5-47.

Mukhtar Shah (61no) then played a big part in the Greenwood Park side's comprehensive victory.

At Skipton Road, Gargrave were dismissed for 128, with George Beckwith (40) taking the batting honours and Andy Dobson (5-19) the bowling.

Visitors Bradford & Bingley III then cruised home by eight wickets, with Will Johnston (63no) and Shahbaz Ahmed (50no) putting on 115 unbroken for the third wicket.

Bottom side Chatburn recorded their first win of the season at home to Glusburn.

Mark Nerenberg (67) and Neil Cartledge (40) helped the Ribble Valley side to 170, with Mohammed Furqan (3-30) and Azhar Iqbal (3-40) being the bowling stars.

The latter then top-scored with 29 not out as the Park Field side replied with 123-9 in their 45 overs, with Stephen Booth (4-22) doing the most damage.
