CROSSFLATTS went second in Division Three of the Mewies Craven Cricket League after their 150-run away victory at Riddlesden, in which Vijay Amirtharaj starred.

He struck a magnificent 114 which included 14 fours and four sixes, despite Mohammad Qadeer taking excellent figures of 7-47.

In reply, Riddlesden were skittled for just 99 as Mick Addy (5-42) and Amirtharaj (3-33) took the bowling honours. Barrowford II still lead the division though after their opponents, Haworth, conceded.

There was a cracking match at Bingley Congs, which saw the hosts rattle up 183-7 in their overs, with Matthew Brian (67) and Jamie Teale (53) leading the way.

Opponents Oakworth II, who had five Under-15 players in the side, got home for the loss of seven wickets with Michael Scarborough hitting 49 and Bradley Powell 29. Meanwhile, Bradley conceded their game with Hepworth & Idle II.

There are new leaders of Division Four, as the clash of the top two, Chatburn II and Silsden, did not go ahead. Silsden conceded and handed the three points to the Ribble Valley side. Silsden drop to third spot.

In second spot now are Foulridge II, whose game with Glusburn II saw the latter concede.

Skipton CI II played half a game at Airedale II, had tea watching the football, then continued playing and produced an exciting finish.

The visitors totalled 206-6, with Jon Sharpe (86) and John Stuttard (58) putting on 128 for the fourth wicket. Their opponents then agonisingly fell six runs short of their target. Saqib Javaid made 69 not out as Chris Windle took 5-10.

Cowling II were in fine form on home territory against Gargrave. They amassed 226-7 with Sajid Shafait (55no) and Ajmal Choudhry (35) leading the way as Rob Storr took 3-37.

Visiting tail-ender Paul Messenger made 30 of his side's 122 all out as Shafait took 4-17.

Bradley II conceded to Bingley Congs III, Cononley II conceded to Ingrow II and Oakworth III conceded to Long Lee II.

The only other game to take place was at Wilsden II where Denholme II were the visitors. The home side walloped 239 after Ben Reynard hit a superb 110 which came from 52 balls, and included 18 fours and five sixes.

Oliver Houldsworth and extras both contributed 33 as Mike Dennison claimed 4-63. Denholme II replied with a creditable 187-7, with U16 James Bloodworth making 86 and Alan King taking 3-25.
