LEADERS Barrowford II looked to be destined for defeat when they were shot out for just 64 by Crossflatts II at Bull Holme in Division Three of the Mewies Solicitors Craven League, with Tahir Mehmood (4-11) and Mick Addy (3-25) doing most damage with the ball.

However, the 10-man Ryshworth Park side were then demolished for a miserable 27, with no player reaching double figures as Abdul Mannan took 6-9.

Second-placed Riddlesden are five points adrift after beating Embsay II by five wickets at Grange Road.

'Mr Extras' (24) was the top scorer in the Shires Laners' 107 with Mohammad Qadeer taking 4-13.

Towhid Ali (51) then saw his side to the spoils.

Next-to-bottom Bradley, scored a welcome win as they try to stave off relegation.

Chris Kimberley (85) and George Bell (62) helped the Matthew Lane side to an impressive 237-4 and hosts Bingley Congs were hustled out for 130, despite Chris Hemsley's 56 as Vince Grant claimed 4-28.

Hepworth & Idle II made 196 at home to bottom side Sutton II, who replied with 87.

'Mr Extras' (25) was also top scorer for Skipton CI at home to Oakworth, who got home by four wickets after 39.2 overs, with Michael Scarborough (47no) leading the way.

Thornton made hard work of chasing down Haworth's 168-9, reaching the winning post with just nine balls but five wickets as Anthony Haigh took 4-46 after earlier top scoring with 42.

It is still tight at the top of Division Four, with three teams covered by three points.

Chatburn II are the leaders after overcoming seven-man Oakworth III – but well done to them for travelling all the way to the Ribble Valley and competing.

The Cure Hill side managed 73-6 with under-13 James Powell making 24 and Chatburn lost three wickets in reaching their target in 11 overs.

Two points behind are Silsden, who enjoyed a nine-wicket victory at Wilsden II.

Alan King and Ben Thornton both scored 56 as the Windy Grove side posted 143-8, while Ben Sugden (62no and 3-14) and Jack Roberts (64no) were the stars for the Aire Valley side.

A further point behind are Foulridge, who had an emphatic win at Airedale II.

The Noyna side rattled up 180-9 as Tim Crossley took 4-31 but the Bradford Road will want to forget the second half of the match as they were shot out for a miserable 62.

At Long Lee II, Bingley Congs III's Daniel Marshall hit a stunning 157 not out to go with Adam Cranfield's 79 not out as the pair put on 201 for the third wicket which saw their side to 275-2.

Russell Hogg made 53 as the Golden View side replied with 148 as Asher Nutting took 6-30.

Bradley II overcame neighbours Cononley II by eight wickets at Matthew Lane, with David Ryan (34) and Thomas Eaglesfield (30 and 3-23) being their stars.

There was another centurion, with Ben Weatherill hitting a superb 116 as Ingrow made 257-7 at Hainworth, Dale Hoyle chipping in with 60.

Gargrave II replied with a creditable 173-8 as Aaron Pearce took 4-36.

There was high scoring game at Glusburn II, where Denholme II blasted 219, with Adrian Shires (73), Josh Wheatley (51) and 'Mr Extras' (38) being the top scores as veteran Alan Coney claimed 4-48.

Not to be outdone, the Park Field smashed their way to a four-wicket victory, led by Richard Parkin (62no) and Brett Parkin (41) who put on 122 for the fifth wicket.

The day's highest score was made by Cowling II, who posted 305-8, led by Qamar Zaman (93) and Avijeet Ghosh (73).

Ten-man visitors Skipton CI II replied with 82 as Zaman (5-33) rounded off a good day.
