Otley Town 4 Oxenhope 4

OXENHOPE travelled to Otley Town in midweek and earned a thrilling 4-4 draw.

The visitors fell behind to two simple, early goals but Oxenhope struck back after 20 minutes. A corner was swung in by Dan Moriarty and Dan Scott rose highest to nod in.

They increased the pressure and were rewarded before the break. Moriarty crossed to Lee Reilly, who took a touch and fired the ball beyond the keeper.

Danny Driver swept home after a sweet passing move to give Oxenhope a second half lead but an Otley counter attack soon drew them level.

Scott Nelson then played in Moriarty, who stroked the ball past the keeper with 10 minutes remaining, but the hosts equalised with a late free kick to ensure a share of the spoils.

Oxenhope 3 Aberford 4

On Saturday, Oxenhope entertained leaders Aberford and battled back from being three goals down after half an hour.

Moriarty headed in a Driver corner, after hitting the post minutes earlier, to reduce the deficit at the break.

Then, in the second half, Tom Marshall was thwarted by the Aberford keeper but finished from close range at the second attempt.

Marshall continued to threaten but on seventy minutes, a rifled shot into the top corner restored Aberford's two-goal cushion.

Nelson scrambled home an 80th minute corner, but the opposition’s ten-man defence held out as Oxenhope pushed for an equaliser. This Saturday, Oxenhope travel to Rothwell (2.30pm).

Beeston Reserves 6 Oxenhope Reserves 2

A youthful Oxenhope Reserves side travelled to second-placed Beeston but put in a creditable performance in Alliance Division One, holding their stronger opponents to a 3-2 lead before the final quarter.

Steve Davies and Luke Brooksbank netted for the visitors but experience told as the home side hit three late goals. The reserves entertain Robin Hood Reserves on Saturday (2.30pm).
