IN Division Three of the Mewies Craven Cricket League, Riddlesden took advantage of the slip ups of their fellow promotion hopefuls.

They dismissed Thornton for 140 thanks to Mohammad Qadeer's 5-23 and they passed their opponents' total for the loss of just two wickets thanks to Steve Kernan (67 not out).

Embsay II visited Crossflatts II and racked up 186-5. Bryan Freimanis and Vijay Amirtharaj scored 48 and 30 respectively in the reply, but their side were dismissed for just 153.

Skipton CI scored 158 as Michael Baines took 3-26 and Jonny Teale backed him up with 3-33. Their Bingley Congs II teammates failed to back that good work up as they were skittled for just 110.

Lowly Sutton II only made 83 at home to Oakworth II after Uwais Ali Khan (5-33) and Harry Hollingworth (4-10) did most of the damage and their opponents proceeded to win easily by seven wickets.

Under-17 Frank Watkinson scored 89 for Bradley in their relegation battle with Haworth II but their opponents chased down 151 with three wickets in hand. Neil Rollins (67) top scored as young Edson Richmond (4-17) took the bowling honours.

Division Four leaders Chatburn II were in a mean mood as they saw off visitors Long Lee II by ten wickets. The away side could only muster 49 and were duly thrashed.

Elsewhere, Cononley II's Paul Hogg took 7-36 against Foulridge II in Division Four but his side were hammered after being bowled out for just 25.

Silsden are third after thumping Oakworth III. Jack Lister's century helped them to 333-3 before Kieran Lawrence (8-9) ensured their opponents were dismissed for just 31.

Denholme II rattled up 272-7 at Bradley II, although their depleted opponents replied with a creditable 137-8.

Cowling II posted 278-7 in an easy win over Wilsden II and there was a low-scoring affair at Gargrave. Visitors Bingley Congs III were skittled for just 37 before Gargrave struggled to victory with 39-6.

Glusburn II could only muster 62 at Airedale II and lost by six wickets. Finally, Ingrow II hammered Skipton CI II by 184 runs.
