All three of our teams in the Halifax League produced sparkling displays with the ball on Saturday.

Oxenhope gave themselves breathing space from the Premier Division relegation zone after crushing rock-bottom visitors Blackley.

The hosts batted first, making 221-4 in their 45 overs thanks to captain Lewis Hopkinson (58) and Harris Rowlett (57 not out).

Blackley were then blasted out for just 62 by opening bowlers Joel Fothergill (6-20) and Daniel Scott (4-41).

Cullingworth are five points clear at the Division Two summit after beating Outlane by six wickets.

James Bloodworth was the star with the ball for Cullingworth, taking 6-41 as the visitors were bowled out for only 89.

The BD13 side had a little wobble on home soil, reduced to 26-3, but Richard Elphee’s unbeaten 53 saw them home comfortably.

Queensbury would have gone joint top with a win, but instead they were overtaken by rampant Oakworth, who won this derby by 104 runs.

Oakworth were struggling on 73-6, but a solid 50 down the order from Jack Davison allowed them to post 165-8.

Queensbury’s chase quickly ran into trouble at 20-5 and they were eventually dismissed for just 61, Jake Keslinke taking 4-26.
