Keighley Cougars have confirmed that club stalwarts Josh Lynam and Matt Bailey’s have joined Bradford neighbours West Bowling on dual registration.

Known for his versatility and robust playing style, Lynam brings valuable experience to the National Conference League Premier Division side, who are currently struggling at the foot of the table having been promoted at the end of last season.

Bailey has found game time hard to come by this season, but like Lynam, he will bring a level of knowhow that Bowling are currently missing.

Cougars’ director of rugby Jake Webster said: “Any game time is good game time.

“For both Bails and Lyni to stay fresh, in competitive environments, will only benefit Keighley Cougars once they are called upon in a busy League 1 season.”

Lynam will hope to help Bowling put their first league win of the season on the board this afternoon, with him being named in John Williams’ side for their trip to Cumbria to take on Egremont Rangers.
