Richard Robinson hit a century and took six wickets to guide Keighley to a 145-run victory at Lightcliffe on Saturday.

The win, which earned the Lawkholme Lane side 20 points, moved them ahead of Gomersal and up to second in Division Two.

They lead Gomersal by just two points in the race for promotion to the top tier.

Farsley, who host Keighley this Saturday, are well clear of their rivals and lead the division by 39 points.

Only fourth and fifth placed Idle and Undercliffe could also have a say in the race for promotion.

Robinson was in fine form for Keighley last Saturday. He racked up 161 runs in the Keighley innings which finished on 285-7.

Robinson's knock came off 131 balls and included 11 sixes and 12 fours.

He guided Keighley to 243-5 before finally being bowled out by Lightcliffe's Sean Robinson, who was the pick of the home team's bowlers with figures of 3-80.

Robinson got some help from fellow batsmen Paul Quinlan (25no), Andrew Wagget (24) and Ross Towler (24).

In the Lightcliffe reply, openers Michael Brooke (52) and Bruce Lunn (24) formed a useful first-wicket partnership of 72. But once Robinson got Lunn out, Brooke was out a short time later when he was clean bowled by Quinlan.

Robinson claimed five of the next eight wickets to fall, with the Towler brothers, Ross and Dale, each taking one and a run out accounting for the other as the Lightcliffe innings petered out to 140 all out.

Robinson's bowling figures were equally impressive as his batting numbers as the all-rounder took 6-21 off 15 overs. He also bowled four maidens.
