Although Keighley beat Windhill last Saturday they face an uphill battle to secure promotion to Division One in their final game of the season this weekend.

With Farsley already promoted as champions, Keighley are battling it out with second placed Gomersal and third placed Idle for the final promotion place.

It will be a tall order for Keighley as they trail Gomersal by 16 points. Keighley need to get a big win at Undercliffe on Saturday and then hope Gomersal lose and do not earn enough batting or bowling points at Farsley. Idle also need to lose at home to second from bottom Morley.

After Keighley lost opener Richard Robinson to a run out with just one run on the scoresheet, fellow opener Matthew Bottomley steadied the ship and came within 11 runs of a century.

His top score 89 was reached in 112 balls, as he hit 13 boundaries on the day, 12 of which were fours.

Only Stuart Ratcliffe (48), skipper Stephen Reape (17) and Alex Towler (13 not out) were able to post double figure scores along with Bottomley as Keighley closed their innings on 193 all out.

The total proved to be too much for Windhill who replied with 154 before Keighley bowled them out in the 48th over.

Tahir Amin's 41 was the top score for Windhill while Robinson and Max Davidson were the pick of the Keighley bowlers. Robinson took four for 26 off 11 overs while Davidson took three for 23 in 7.1 overs.
