Amateur rugby league side Keighley Pumas will play Heckmondwike Panthers in a charity match that will be the noon curtain-raiser for the Keighley Cougars’ Cross-Code Challenge match at Bradford & Bingley on Sunday.

The day has a fun theme to it with Heckmondwike secretly planning something and as the picture of the Pumas kit (at right) shows a fun day looks in store.

The Pumas’ kit was designed and produced by Dave Turner at Ravensport.

The Pumas will be raising funds for RNLI and Keighley Kiddicare and the referee for the day, Darrel Gough, has donated his services for free and will be wearing fancy dress.

Both teams will play for an award, the Christmas Cup, which has been donated by main sponsor the Dog and Gun at Glusburn. The two clubs hope to make this an annual event and possibly invite more teams to take part next year.

Finally along with the general fund raising through the day the Pumas will sell the one-off kits after the game.
