Big-hitting Evans speeds Cullingworth to victory

Cullingworth entertained Long Lee who won the toss and batted in their Wynn Cup tie The lowly Second Division outfit put up a gutsy performance with the bat, making 181-8 with Mark Day making a stylish 75 and Richard Ayrton a brutal 40no .

Luke Taylor took 3-43 off his allotted 12 overs.

Cullingworth then cantered to the semi-finals with 182-4.

Steve Welch anchored the innings with 68no and was helped by Josh Evans who made 67not out off 50 balls..

A total of 110 runs came in only 14 overs after the opening two bowlers had completed their stints.

Oakworth were without several members of their squad at home to Cononley.

They were playing in the under-17 junior final at Skipton. I n a match reduced to 30 overs per side, Oakworth plundered 181-7 with Brannan Lawn top scoring with 36.

Jack Hainsworth (31) and Michael Scarborough (25) also made useful runs.

The South Craveners, undaunted by their opponent's calibre, had a real good go at reaching their target and fell 12 runs short at the end of their overs.

Andy Starkey (39) and Charles Calvert (36) were the main contributors helped by Herbie Starkey and Joel Gran- ger with 23 apiece.

There was no play possible in the other two games.
