Keighley boxing brothers Danish Muhammad and Muhammad Ali have received a double dose of good news.

Danish has been called up to fight for Great Britain schoolboys in the European Championships in Anapa, Russia from October 1-7.

And Muhammad has been invited to attend trials for the GB Olympic development squad, which will be picked with Rio 2016 in mind.

The three-day trial, starting tomorrow, takes place at the Sheffield Institute of Sport.

The Keighley siblings were both national champions at their age-group weights this season and are now looking to make their mark on the international scene.

Their trainer at Bury Amateur Boxing Club, Mike Jelley, said: “They deserve their rewards as they put more work in than any others I’ve seen in years.”
