SILSDEN have been handed a tasty derby in the first round of the West Riding County Cup.

The Cobbydalers will host fellow North West Counties League Premier Division side Barnoldswick Town early next month.

The winners will then be at home to either Harrogate Railway Athletic or Brighouse Town, both of Evo-Stik League Division One North, in the second round in November.

Guiseley v AFC Halifax Town is the stand-out tie in the opening round. The Shaymen will be heading to Nethermoor at the end of the month or in the first week of October.

The other two Conference League clubs, Bradford Park Avenue and last season's beaten finalists Harrogate Town, were handed byes.

Farsley must travel to Glasshoughton Welfare in the first round, with the winners drawn at holders Eccleshill United in round two. The Eagles, Avenue and Thackley were all among the eight clubs lucky enough to receive byes.
