TWO goals in the last ten minutes saw Shammies claim victory in a thrilling encounter.

They showed great resilience to come from 2-0 and 3-2 down to beat their Bradford hosts, with goals coming from Harry Bellamy (2) and Alfie Woolaston (2). Having claimed just one victory last season, improving Knights have already won two in this campaign.

Special mention goes to midfielder Connor Hopkins, who did well in only his second ever game.

Idle Juniors u-14s 1 Keighley Shamrocks u-14s 7

Kas Ali opened the scoring for Shammies after following up a rebound from a Jack Hanson shot on the turn.

Minutes later, Max Pearson and Tom Broadbent set up Dom Westcott, who made no mistake with a quality finish. The impressive Hanson reacted quickest to a fumble in the area and prodded home to make it three.

In the second half, Dylan Ward produced an exquisite lob to beat the keeper into the top corner, Harry Farnell drove home with a powerful shot and Hanson pounced to bag his brace. Despite a late consolation goal for Idle, defender Joe Polignone scored his first goal for Shammies with a bullet header from a great cross in the dying seconds.

Oakworth Wasps u-14s 3 Bingley B u-14s 4

Bingley got into their stride first and scored the opener before Luke Hegarty equalised for Wasps.

Bingley led 3-1 at the break but Oakworth came out a different side in the second half. Hegarty scored again and Wasps continued to batter away, only for Bingley to score on a breakaway.

Oakworth did not give up as man of the match Hegarty completed his hat-trick. But for some heroic goalkeeping, Wasps could have won the game.
