JOHN Mortimer has resigned as Steeton FC's club chairman, goalkeeping coach and under-18 manager due to family commitments.
He has done a tremendous job for the Chevrons over the past two seasons and has been the key to driving off-the-field progress, implementing a five-year plan and bringing a new structure to the Summerhill Lane club.
In that period, John has also overseen two league title wins for the under-18s and has also helped progress a number of those players into senior football, including the first team.
Steeton are now looking for a new chairman but want to put on record their thanks to John for all his hard work and wish him all the best for the future.
