Wharfedale Triangle First Division: Aire Valley 0 Cullingworth Youth 2

YOUTH should have had the game won by half-time yet it was not until 15 minutes from the end that all three points were assured.

They had 80 per cent of the play in the first period and squandered chance after chance before sub Joshua Town came on in the 30th minute to open the scoring.

In the second period Aire Valley came more into the game and Youth lacked cohesion in their play, though they still failed to take a good chance.

Cullingworth's keeper had to make a great save before sub Joseph Flaherty but the game to bed in the 75th minute. Youth's captain Harry Holmes was their man of the match, closely followed by Andy Waper.

Youth are again at Marley on Sunday in the League Cup against Myrtle Park.
