Wharfedale Triangle League Division One: Cullingworth Youth 7, Milford 2

YOUTH'S incident-packed first home game featured nine goals, including a wonder strike, two penalties and a red card.

Cullingworth were gifted a goal in the first minute, Milford's keeper fluffing a simple save and centre forward Chris Deacon capitalising.

Having had the better of the first-half exchanges, Youth found the net on two other occasions but Milford reduced the arrears just before the break.

The second period saw the hosts give a Jekyll and Hyde performance. They added two more goals before Milford missed a penalty.

Youth's wonder goal came when sub Jack Wayper collected the ball just outside Milford's 18-yard box and unleashed a terrific shot which gave the keeper no chance. Milford made no mistake with their second spot kick but two late goals gave Youth a well-deserved emphatic victory, even though their play had not been up to their usual standard.

Scorers were Andy Wayper (2), Kyle and Sam Fox, who both notched solo efforts, Joseph Flaherty, Chris Deacon and Jack Wayper.

Youth are at home to Yeadon Athletic on Sunday, who drew with Saltaire Rangers last time out.
