SILSDEN Whitestar and Bradley were in benevolent mood in the Skipton Body Repair Centre Craven League, respectively handing Earby Town and Embsay their first victories of the season.

Whitestar, whose man of the match was John Berry, had Jack Kendall and James Wilson on target in their 3-2 Premier Division defeat at Earby, but also had Joshua McNulty sent off.

Cononley Sports were safe in lower mid-table last season in the top flight but it could be a different story this campaign as they are bottom of the table with only one draw from their seven matches.

Their latest defeat was by 8-0 at home to Settle United, with Sean Lloyd being man of the match for the hosts. Cross Hills, meanwhile, beat visitors Gargrave 3-1, while Wilsden Athletic pushed Rolls close in a 4-3 setback.

Bradley's Division One match against Embsay was a basement battle but the 4-1 triumph for Embsay was not enough to take them off the bottom. Tom Wilson got Bradley's only goal.

Oxenhope Rec did well to hold second-placed Skipton Town to a 2-2 draw, with Callum Holmes and man of the match Thomas Thompson on target for Rec.

Leaders Pendle Renegades won 3-1 at Ingrow & Worth Valley, whose goal came from double gong winner Aaron Davis, while Sporting Keighley climbed two places to fifth on the back of a 5-1 victory at AFC Colne, with the winners' goalscorers including man of the match Alhassaine Keita (2), Mohammed Ammer and Shazad Khan.

Cowling, one of the clubs who Sporting leapfrogged, went down 3-2 at Rolls Reserves, despite a brace from Sam Woolley.

Broomhill kept their fourth clean sheet in seven Division Two matches to maintain the pressure on leading duo Manningham Allstars and Carleton.

A brace from man of the match Andy Tanner and goals from wingers Jamie Greenwood and substitute Liam Baker sealed a 4-0 victory for the Badgers at home to Trawden Celtic Reserves.

A Matthew Wilson free-kick gave Tanner a free header on the half-hour to open the scoring, and the latter made it 2-0 five minutes before the break by beating two defenders for pace before smashing home.

Tanner turned creator for the third goal by Greenwood, and reserve-team captain Cameron Galindo started the move for the fourth goal with a brilliant tackle, Baker beating his man before unleashing a first-time right-foot shot that went straight into the top corner.

Bis Andrzej (Polonia) and Jan Ozdoba (Grassington United Reserves) both netted four goals but man of the match Mirdstaw Bak made the difference for the Poles by also scoring in a 5-4 home victory over the cellar dwellers.

Richard Calvert-inspired Cononley Sports Reserves are up to fourth after a 4-1 triumph at Pendle Renegades Reserves, Nicholas Kaminski (2), Jake Manditch and Colin Throupe being on target, while Cross Hills Reserves lost 4-0 at Salts.

In Division Three, next-to-bottom Ingrow & Worth Valley Reserves deserve credit for only going down 4-3 at home to leaders Otley Town, Matthew Masters (2) and Chris Thomas netting for the losers, whose Graham Whitaker picked up both man of the match awards.

Sutton rose to seventh after a 6-3 victory over visitors Ilkley, man of the match Nick Trowers (3), Wayne Gray, Aiden Robertson and Jamie Wilson being on target, while Cowling Reserves lost 3-1 at home to Barlick Wanderers, who notched only their second victory of the season.

Substitute Sam Wedgwood got the Cowling goal, while Bingley Town Reserves drew 2-2 at Horton.
