Thornton United u-15s 2 Keighley Shamrocks u-15s 9

Thornton found a Shammies team in electric form. Tom Broadbent expertly set up Dylan Ward, who beat the last defender before powering the ball into the far corner of the net for the first goal.

Jordan Daniel showed great power and pace to fire a superb shot from 25 yards, which the keeper could only parry to Dom Westcott, who scored the second goal.

Westcott and Ward each registered again to extend the lead. Jack Hanson scored a hat-trick with the last being a real peach. First, he pivoted sharply and then chipped the keeper from the edge of the penalty area.

Harry Farnell got in on the act with two goals, the best being a shot that went in off the underside of the crossbar.

Oakworth Wasps u-15s 0 Calverley u-15s 10

Wasps tried hard to break down the defence but were caught out of position and Calverley's forwards took advantage.

With five goals in the first half and five in the second, Calverley had an easy victory. To add to Wasps' woes, their goalkeeper was sent off with a minute remaining.

One bright light was the performance of man of the match Tyler Green, who tirelessly ran up and down the field in attack and defence.

Oxenhope u-18s 8 Embsay u-18s 0

For a second week running, Oxenhope scored eight goals without reply, Owen Williamson hitting four, Sam Murphy striking a hat-trick and defender Dan Scott getting in on the act.

Oxenhope u-15s 17 Eccleshill u-15s 0

In a one-sided game, Oxenhope’s newly formed under-15s team ran riot.

Josh Rule hit five, Danny Smith four, Sam Finnigan three and further strikes came from Jake Dowden, Sam Nicholson, Harry Swain, Kian Saunders and Alfie Darke.

Silsden u-16s 0 Sutton Rascals u-16s 3

A strong run from Michael Bailey saw him put the Rascals ahead before strong defending kept Silsden at bay.

Sutton went 2-0 up when Ben Clarkson's cross picked out Freddy Maddocks and he slotted home. Clarkson made it 3-0 just before half-time.

In the second half the visitors stood firm thanks to Ewan Bailey and man of the match Harry Pociecha.

Sutton played some great football and created at least half a dozen opportunities to increase their lead but failed to do so.
