THIS was a comfortable victory for Silsden, lifting them to second in the table.

Andy Briggs took his tally to four goals in two games and it took just five minutes for him to convert Laurence Green's excellent cross.

Green made it 2-0 after 32 minutes, latching on to a through-ball and stroking the ball home. Bingley threatened but there was no end product.

Briggs made the game safe on 68 minutes with a far post header from a superb deep cross from marauding midfielder Morgan Bridge.

With the final move of the match, Briggs beat Bingley's right back, rounded the keeper and walked the ball into the net.

Shammies seized the initiative after a clever exchange between Laszlo Szennyai and Harry Farnell saw the latter open the scoring.

Dylan Ward capped a fine first half, bursting past two defenders only to be brought down to win a penalty. He converted it himself to extend the lead.

The Shammies defence lost concentration, allowing a Rastrick striker to ghost past them to score an opportunistic goal. Jack Hanson showed a predatory instinct as he reacted quickest to a goalmouth fumble, prodding in from close range.

He bagged his brace minutes later after a high quality free-kick by Tom Ormerod.

Silsden u-16s 2 Sutton u-16s 3

Sutton started slowly and struggled to get their passing game going. Keeper Cameron Webster tipped a free-kick over the bar to keep them level but Silsden went 1-0 up.

Sutton hit back when Ben Clarkson charged down a free-kick and slotted home.

After a strong team talk at half-time, Sutton came out stronger in the second half and created several chances, Ewan Bailey putting them in front with a cheeky back-heel.

However, they were reduced to 10 men and and Silsden got back on level terms. But Sutton were not going to be denied their win as a Clarkson shot was spilled and Darragh Davey-Burke pounced to round off a great second-half performance. Sutton's man of the match was Toby Jeffery.

Cononley u-15s 3 Oakworth Wasps u-15s 7

Wasps started sluggishly and Cononley took advantage to score first.

Wasps got themselves together and equalised only to let Cononley in for their second.Oakworth then took control and scored three before half-time.

The second half was dominated by Oakworth as they added three further goals. Jake Illingworth (2), Tyler Green, Jack Ferrugia, Luke Hegarty and man of the match Bobby Horsfall (2) were all on target.
