BROOMHILL picked the ideal time to take advantage of other teams not playing in the Skipton Body Repair Centre Craven League.
The Keighley-based visitors won 5-3 at Barlick Wanderers to rise four places in Division Three from next-to-bottom to eighth.
Matthew Kershaw (3) and Michael Turner (2) netted for Broomhill, whose man of the match was Jake Ward.
Wanderers were one of the quartet that Broomhill passed and have slipped to 12th.
Meanwhile, in Division One, Oxenhope Recreation defeated second-placed visitors Chatburn 2-0 to gain revenge and also climb to eighth.
Two weeks previously Oxenhope had suffered defeat by the same margin at the hands of the league leaders but on Saturday they reversed the scoreline.
A through ball by Andy Fox saw Joel Gallagher round the keeper and put Rec ahead before Oxenhope doubled their lead when Tom Brown won a header in midfield and played in man of the match Will Wells, whose shot was sliced clear by the Chatburn keeper but fell to Tom Thompson to finish coolly.
