COWLING may be second in Division One of the Skipton Body Repair Centre Craven League.

But they made heavy weather of beating tenth-placed visitors Bingley Town 2-1, courtesy of goals by Luke Barker and Alasdair McEwen.

AFC Colne, Rolls Reserves and Sporting Keighley seem to be Cowling's main threats to finishing second behind Pendle Renegades, and Sporting Keighley won 5-0 at lowly Bradley, Sikander Shan (2) and man of the match Alhassaine Keita (2) netting in addition to an own goal. Chris Hogg did best for Bradley.

Oxenhope Recreation halted Colne's charge with a 1-1 draw, man of the match Joel Gallagher getting the goal for Rec, while David Want starred for Ingrow & Worth Valley in their 4-2 defeat at Rolls Reserves.

In the Premier Division, Silsden Whitestar are up one spot to eighth after a 2-1 derby victory at Cross Hills, Andy Kay and man of the match Jack Kendall netting for the winners, with Stuart Parkin doing best for the hosts.

Wilsden Athletic had a day to forget, hosts Earby Town triumphing 3-0 for only their second win of the campaign, Joel Hardy being the gong winner for Athletic.

In Division Two, Daniel Wisniewski was on target for third-placed FC Polonia, who won 2-1 at struggling Pendle Renegades Reserves, while second-placed Broomhill continued on their merry way with a 4-0 victory at Settle United Reserves, Andrew Tanner (2) and man of the match Jake Ward being among their scorers.

Cononley Sports Reserves are up to seventh, despite only drawing 1-1 at home to lowly Cross Hills Reserves, Andrew Hudson being on target for the hosts, while Jamie Abbott's effort was a consolation for Cowling Reserves in their 3-1 defeat at AFC Barnoldswick.
