Silsden Development 6 Crossley 2

HAVING hit 11 the previous week, Silsden hit the goal trail again against Crossley.

A neat through-ball from winger Izzy Di Franco set up striker Hollie Kirtley to put them ahead after just two minutes.

Crossley could have levelled but for some fine defending by Dee Rutherford, Lauren Murgatroyd, Kourtnai Broughton and Jordan Whiteley. Vicky Williamson increased the lead when she took advantage of the windy conditions to lob the keeper.

Crossley hit back in the 22nd minute with a superb strike into the far corner but their comeback didn't last long as striker Megan Robson-Owens' neatly-placed pass was latched on to by Kirtley and slotted home.

Silsden's left winger Naomi Di Franco was causing lots of problems along with central midfielder Jess Buck.

Chloe Greenwood was one of a number of subs brought on and it wasn't long before she made an impact, winning the ball and setting up Izzy Di Franco, who ran into the box and made it 4-1 before grabbing another before the break with a great solo effort.

Crossley pulled a goal back in the 51st minute after an awkward bounce over outstretched keeper Laura Thurling.

The wind made conditions tough but match-point winner Izzy Di Franco clinched her hat-trick by looping the ball over the keeper.
