OXENHOPE kick off their sixth consecutive season in the top flight of the West Yorkshire League with a home fixture on Saturday (2.30pm) against Knaresborough Town.

The Keighley Cup holders have lost three of their key players to local rivals Silsden in Josh Kaine, Tom Marshall and Leon Smith, so the side will have a fresh look about it under new first-team manager James Bailey.

Oxenhope end their pre-season preparations tonight (6.45pm) with a friendly at home to Guiseley.

Oxenhope Reserves claimed their second victory over a Craven League Premier Division side when they beat Grassington 4-2 last Saturday, with young striker Owen Williamson scoring all four goals. His third was the pick of them after a fine solo run, which saw him weave past several defenders and finish with a clever flick.

Meanwhile, Steeton start their West Riding County Amateur League Premier Division campaign with a trip to Overthorpe Sports Club on Saturday (2.30pm), while Steeton Reserves host Wibsey in Division One.
