Wharfedale Triangle League Premier Division: Cullingworth Youth 2 Keighley Town 2

Cullingworth came from 2-0 down to earn a share of the spoils against their neighbours.

Having lost 7-1 to Town in their second game of the season, this was a big improvement for the hosts in what proved an exciting game with the result in doubt until the final whistle.

Town were in control of play in the first half. Youth appeared to be disjointed and went behind in the tenth minute before going in 2-0 down at the interval, Craig Morris and Andy Feather finding the target for Keighley.

A rallying cry at the break by their captain and man of the match Harry Holmes saw Youth get their act together in the second half.

They were now working as a team and, while play was of an end-to-end nature with both keepers kept busy, Youth had the better of the possession and created more opportunities.

Cullingworth missed three great chances in five minutes but midfielder Alex Tudhope reduced the arrears with a cracking shot from distance.

With ten minutes to go, Youth went for broke by pushing centre back Dave Sanderson into the attack and the move paid dividends as he claimed a deserved equaliser.

Youth are away to Keighley Athletic at Marley on Sunday, while Town host Yeadon Veterans at the same venue.
