Skipton Body Repair Centre Craven League Division Three: Broomhill Reserves 4 Addingham 4

THE points were shared in this thriller after Broomhill conceded two early goals.

The Badgers' started sloppily, conceding two goals in ten minutes as the visitors made their dominance count.

This deficit fired up the hosts, however, and they started to gain a foothold in the game, chances falling to the lively Michael Turner and Joe Slater, only for the impressive Addingham keeper to save on both occasions.

The increased pressure paid off on the half-hour though when a through ball by full back Sean Bland was pounced on by Turner, who rounded the keeper and slotted in from a tight angle.

The pacy Chris Reynolds then beat the offside trap to find himself one-on-one with the keeper, who made a great save.

However, on the stroke of half-time, an Addingham defender headed home unmarked from six yards after a corner.

Half-time provided the chance for Badgers' manager Chris Alvey to emphasise patience, and his words paid off immediately when man of the match Slater curled in a left-footed shot, followed by a wonder strike from Zak Blackman.

Picking up the ball on halfway, he unleashed a drive from 35 yards into the top corner.

Following great saves from Turner and Shaoib Ajaib in quick succession, the Addingham keeper's luck ran out on the hour.

A corner was headed to the edge of the box to Jake Ward, whose drilled low shot forced a smart save, but debutant Lee Rooke tapped the rebound in.

With ten minutes to go, however, a deserved Broomhill victory was taken away as Addingham equalised against the run of play.

A simple backpass to Smith, who had made a number of superb saves, took an horrific bobble and his sliced clearance fell to the oncoming striker, who tapped the ball into an empty net.
