Wharfedale Triangle League Cup second round: Cullingworth Youth 2 Armley Rangers 3

DEPLETED Cullingworth came from behind twice only to bow out of the cup following an Armley winner ten minutes from time.

Rangers opened the scoring in the 30th minute of an even first half. But Youth, who were missing four key players, replied soon after with a great individual goal from Dave Sanderson.

The centre back collected the ball within his own half and went through the Armley defence like a knive through butter to give his side parity at the break.

The visitors regained the lead shortly after the resumption but, like in the first half, Cullingworth replied five minutes later.

Captain Harry Holmes, who was Youth's man of the match, made it 2-2.

Both teams had chances to win the game, with Armley striking the clinching goal late on.

Cullingworth return to league action on Sunday when they head to Ilkley Dynamo.

* Craig Morris was Keighley Town's star performer as he scored five times in their 7-1 hammering of visitors Otley Tavern in the League Cup. Michael Donohoe also weighed in with a brace. Town head to Yeadon Athletic on Sunday.
