SPORTING Keighley have finally lost a cup tie.

They have progressed to the fourth round of the West Riding County FA Trophy, where they host Silsden Whitestar on Saturday, January 7, and the third round of the Craven League's Northern Plant Hire Trophy, where they are at home to Addingham on a date to be determined.

But having won all four of their knockout matches previously this season, Sporting Keighley went down 4-3 at home to Grassington United in the first round of the Premier Division Cup.

Bilal Hayat (2) and a Matthew Brennand own goal made up Sporting's tally, for whom Shazad Khan was man of the match.

In Craven League action, Division One leaders Cowling won 2-0 at Bingley Juniors, courtesy of Craig Gregory and substitute Jody Proctor, but the other Keighley area clubs are struggling.

Broomhill went down 3-1 at Chatburn, with Andy Tanner getting the goal, while Bradley lost 7-2 at Manningham Allstars, and Oxenhope Rec crashed 5-1 at home to Carleton.

In Division Two, Cononley Sports have dropped a place to fourth after a shock 3-2 home defeat to bottom club Otley Town, Andrew Hudson and Colin Throupe netting for the losers, while in Division Three, Sutton fell 5-2 to third-placed visitors Barlick Wanderers.

Man of the match Will Bestwick and Aiden Robertson were on target for third-placed Sutton, while Bradley Reserves lost 6-2 at home to Ilkley, with Tom Pilling bagging a brace for Bradley.
