WITH many of the Taylor's Timber West Riding County Amateur League teams involved in district cups, only a handful of leagues games are scheduled to be played on Saturday before the Christmas and New Year break.

With Salts FC (Craven League) and Thornton United Reserves having already claimed their semi-final spots in the Bradford & District FA Saturday Senior Cup, Campion, Field, Thornton United and Athletico are in contention for the last two places.

Athletico (Spen Valley League) take on Field (West Yorkshire League Premier Division), who have won the cup six times and were beaten finalists last season.

In the other quarter-final, Campion (County Amateur League Premier Division) will host Division One side Thornton United at the Sportsbulk,co.uk Stadium (1.45pm).

Both Steeton and Steeton Reserves are involved in the Keighley & District cup ties.

Steeton’s first team welcome local rivals Oxenhope Recreation (West Yorkshire League) in the Keighley & District FA Challenge Cup, while Steeton Reserves take the short trip to Cross Hills Reserves (Craven League) in the Keighley & District FA Supplementary Cup.

Route One Rovers and Ventus Yeadon Celtic, who both play in Division One of the County Amateur League, are involved in the Wharfedale & District FA Cup.

Rovers will entertain Rawdon Old Boys at Esholt, while Celtic visit Horsforth St Margaret’s A.

Only two Premier Division games are possible on Saturday.

Fourth-placed Littletown, who have played fewer games than any of the three teams above them, will have second-placed Huddersfield YMCA – last season's champions – as their their visitors to Beck Lane, while Lower Hopton host Honley, who they are level on points with (14).
