West Yorkshire League Alliance Division One: Oxenhope Reserves 5 Brighouse Old Boys Reserves 1

Oxenhope inflicted more misery on their opponents, having beaten them 10-1 the previous week.

They took the lead on ten minutes as Luke Scott played an exquisite diagonal ball into the path of Danny Mackinson, who went past the full back and stroked home.

The second goal arrived on the half-hour when Tom Duffin played the ball down the wing to Mackinson. He took it to the bye-line and his cross was met by the head of Joel Gallagher.

Oxenhope continued to dominate after the break. New signing Matty Wilson started the move that led to the third goal, playing in Sean Quinlan, who cleverly threaded the ball to Gallagher for him to round the keeper and roll the ball in from a tight angle.

The visitors hit back with a sweet left-foot drive that gave young keeper Eddie Jackson no chance.

But Oxenhope resumed control with two quick goals. First, central defender Keann Shaw hit a long ball over the top to sub Danny Driver, who raced onto it and coolly smashed the ball home.

Then Gallagher completed his hat-trick with the fifth goal. Full back Kieran Henry played the ball up the line to Luke Snowden, who dinked the ball over to Gallagher and he took it in his stride before lobbing the on-rushing keeper.
